Peter is an experienced technology entrepreneur and manager. He worked for eight years for the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) in Singapore. First he was in the "Microelectronics Packaging" division (i.e. the input/output connections of silicon chips) and thereafter he was the Head of the “Micro- and Nanosystems” group which consisted of 50 research scientists, originating from 17 countries. The group worked on industrial projects for companies such as Sony and its work ranged from MEMS, microfluidics and medical devices to development of analysis techniques such as surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and atomic force microscopy (AFM).

In 2004 he co-founded Singular ID, a technology company based on his research, that developed cutting edge anti-counterfeiting systems using magneto-optics. Under his management as Director and CTO, the company received multiple rounds of investment from institutional investors in Europe and the US and scaled up its technology from a lab. concept to mass-production for a wide variety of customers such as Sanden International (manufacturer of 25% of the world's automotive air-conditioning compressors); the Delhi Police; and the Indonesian Presidential Guard. The company won numerous international awards.

In December 2007, Singular ID was acquired by the largest pharmaceutical packaging multinational in the world (Bilcare Ltd). Peter was retained as Chief Scientific Officer of Bilcare Technologies and led the company's technical innovation and patent portfolio management.

He has been an invited speaker on technology and entrepreneurship for the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs, and has given seminars on intellectual property management to technical staff from some of Europe's largest automotive, aerospace and industrial companies.

Currently, Peter is the Managing Director of VorteQ Consulting.
